Specijalni rezervat prirode „Carska bara“, prostrano i čisto vodeno ogledalo, ukrašeno zbijenim trakama trske i ševara, stepa i vrbaka, leži na severoistoku Srbije između tri grada: Beograda, Novog Sada i Zrenjanina.

Sa površinom od oko 4700 ha izatkan je rekama, jezerima, kanalima i barama, gustim zelenim i smeđim šumama i ispresecan žutim i belim slatinama.

Ova oaza mira i netaknute prirode predstavlja jedno je od 10 “savršenih mesta” u Srbiji.

Ornitološko bogatstvo čine 250 zabeleženih vrsta od kojih se mnogi nalaze u “Crvenoj knjizi” svetskih i evropskih ugroženih vrsta te Rezervat sa ponosom nosi naziv “Carstvo ptica“. Ovde se gnezde svih osam vrsta evropskih čaplji i ova ptica je naš zaštitni znak.

Zbog izuzetnih prirodnih vrednosti Rezervat je proglašen za Ramsarsko područje, i za međunarodno važno područje za očuvanje biljaka i ptica – IPA, IBA i Emerald područje.

Special Nature Reserve “Carska bara” spacious and clear water mirror, dressed in a cane and grass streaks, steppes and willow trees, lies in the northeast of Serbia between three cities: Belgrade, Novi Sad and Zrenjanin.

With an area of about 4,700 ha, the land is woven with rivers, lakes, canals and ponds, so colours vary from blue lakes, green and brown forests to yellow and white pastures.

This oasis of peace and untouched nature is one of 10 “perfect places” in Serbia.

The ornithological wealth is represented by 250 different birds species. Many of them are listed as endangered and the variety of endemic species single out this region as unique. Hence the Nature Reserve proudly accepted the name "The Kingdom of Birds". Every one of the eight European heron species nests here, so this bird is our trade mark.

For its natural resources reserve was declared as a Ramsar area and internationally important conservation area for plants and birds – IPA, IBA and Emerald site.
